WE WON! Eric Vanderwal and I were down at The Rally of the Tall Pines this weekend and managed to place 2nd in qualifying. Saturday we got up extra early to prepare the car for the day. 9:01am and we were peeling away from the starting line. 344km later, and a few pit stops for broken control arms, we crossed the finish line at 3h4m48s, putting us at the top of the E2 class!
Now I need to find some land to get started on! Ive been looking in the manufacturing district between Kipling and Islington and south of Bloor. There are a bunch of mechanic shops in there, most of them are family businesses, but they specialize in general maintenance, where as I want to work with vehicle dynamics and modifications. Im looking into this place, $400,000 for a decent sized lot on a dead end.
So I just put in my two weeks notice with Lakeshore Honda. I have been working with them for the past 4 years and I think its time I moved on. But not just anywhere! I have decided to take the knowledge and prestige I have gained from working there and translate that into a brand new job for myself working as a Mechanic in my own business. I have been planning this for a long time, ever since I graduated really, and now its time to get to work making my dream job come true.
